The Albemarle Inn, the only AAA 4-Diamond Bed and Breakfast in Asheville, is housed in a magnificent 1907 Greek Revival mansion. Set on nearly an acre of landscaped grounds with an award - winning English garden, the Inn is within walking distance of the Grove Park Inn and minutes to restaurants, galleries and the Biltmore Estate.

Built as a private residence, the inn has been featured in National Geographic Traveler, Fortune and Carolina Gardener, is a member of Select Registry, Distinguished Inns of North America and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The parlor welcomes with the glow of recently restored oak wainscoting, fourteen foot ceilings, an intricately carved oak stairway with a unique circular balcony and a period crystal chandelier.

Guests enjoy morning coffee or tea and the newspaper by the huge marble fireplace or on the expansive stone veranda overlooking the sweeping front lawn and gardens. Perfect for a romantic getaway, relaxed vacation or a break from a busy business schedule.

The nine spacious period guestrooms and two suites offer comfort in an elegant style, are furnished with extra thick mattresses, fine linens, goose down quilts, cozy robes and fresh flowers Each room features a private bath with an antique claw-foot tub and shower, telephone and television. One room has a fireplace and one suite has a two-person marble whirlpool tub. The Inn offers evening turn-down service with chocolates.

A sumptuous award-winning full gourmet breakfast is served at individual tables in the dining room by candlelight or on the plant-filled sunporch. Late afternoon refreshments are served on the veranda or in the parlor.
